On 15th Jun 2022, Morning Nutrition was launched in GHPS school in Bettakote village, Devanahalli Taluk in Bengaluru Rural by Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in association with Kempe Gowda International Airport Foundation. Kempe Gowda International Airport Foundation have always been on the forefront in serving local communities. They have been associated with Annapoorna Trust in serving morning nutrition to Government school children around Devanahalli since 2018. Now that COVID is subsided & schools reopened fully, Foundation has come forward to support solid breakfast for 1200 government school children.

On 15th June 2022 Lions Club International joined hands with Annapoorna Trust in serving the rural children of Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru north at Government Pre-University college Doddaballapur. Lions are a global service network of volunteers that make a difference in their local communities. Lions Clubs in India are the second largest group of volunteers in the world after USA, with 6,335 Clubs and 2,35,000 members. Lions can reach out to help anywhere across the country, even in the remotest locations.

Whenever a Lions Club gets together, problems get smaller, and communities get better. That is because Lions help where help is needed. True to its vision, MOU was signed with Lions Club district 317F & Annapoorna Trust to support with multi nutrient Saisure health mix distribution in 26 schools for 2477 children in Kodigehalli & Hosahalli grama panchayats, Doddaballapur Municipality in the first phase. This would expand to 5000 children for the next three years around Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur & Bengaluru north.

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with Kellogg’s has initiated Morning Nutrition Program for Rural Students in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Total of 5128 students from both the states will be benefited by this program under “Feeding Programme for under privileged children”.

On 27th April, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust launched its pilot project in Himachal Pradesh.

Director of Elementary Education, Dr. Pankaj Lalit; Jt. Director Admn., Dr. Bhuwan Sharma, and various other members of the Mid-day Meal Scheme and Elementary Education Department were present during the function.

Annapoorna Trust launched the morning nutrition programme on 21-Apr-2022 for school going children in ZPHS, Jillelguda, Meerpet Municipal Corporation near Hyderabad in Telangana. The occasion was graced by Honourable Minister of Education in Telangana government, Ms. Sabitha Indira Reddy who is also MLA of Maheshwaram assembly constituency, Ms. Sarala SA – Headmaster ZPHS Jillelguda, teachers & students. Mr. Anand Kadali – Trustee & Secretary, Mrs. Padma Radhika – Donor relationship manager, Mr. Dhananjay Rao Ejapu – Manager in Marketing & Digital communication were representing Annapoorna Trust.

Annapoorna morning nutrition programme was launched in Salem district’s Sevvaipettai village. The children studying in the government school at the village are from families whose parents are daily wage workers. 

The much-awaited launch event of SaiSure multi nutrient health mix was held in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. Vidarbha is less economically prosperous when compared to other regions of Maharashtra and has hot humid climate with considerable poverty & malnutrition. Annapoorna Trust is proud to start the morning nutrition with relevant permissions from Government covering regions of Vidarbha – Akola, Amravathi, Buldhana, Yavatmal & Washim.

As part of the expansion of Annapoorna Morning nutrition, 06-Apr-2022 was memorable for getting started morning nutrition to Government school going children in Alwal taluk of Medchal-Malkajgiri district. This region comes under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. This was an event hosted by Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust and White Volunteers Foundation in the presence of local government officials.
