SaiSure launch in Punjab

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has now launched its flagship morning nutrition programme in the state of Punjab on 23 Oct 2021 in collaboration with Punjab School Education Board that benefits needy children studying in government schools.
Annapoorna Trust which has come up with an innovative solution of a balanced protein-based health supplement, SaiSure with milk powder is supplied free of cost in the government schools. This supplement meets the requirements of macronutrients like proteins, carbohydrates and fats as well as micronutrients like vitamins and minerals for the growing children & has resulted in improvement in health parameters such as – decline in wasting, stunting, malnutrition, and better BMI in children.
Sri Vijay Inder Singla – Public Works Department and Administrative Reforms minister in the Punjab Government was present during the launch at Bhawanigarh block, Sangrur district. Along with the minister, dignitaries present were Block Education Officer (Primary), District Education Officer (Primary) and members of block Samithis, teachers & students. Children were provided with SaiSure multi-nutrient health mix during the launch.
Pilot project would be for a duration of three months in nine schools comprising of around 1,000 children. The honourable Minister was keen on this launch since he was the one who had initiated the start of morning nutrition in Punjab while he was Education minister few months back. He was looking forward to roll-out the program to other districts in Punjab as well. With this launch, Annapoorna is now present in 18 states (and 3UT) in the country.
