On 15th June 2022 Lions Club International joined hands with Annapoorna Trust in serving the rural children of Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru north at Government Pre-University college Doddaballapur. Lions are a global service network of volunteers that make a difference in their local communities. Lions Clubs in India are the second largest group of volunteers in the world after USA, with 6,335 Clubs and 2,35,000 members. Lions can reach out to help anywhere across the country, even in the remotest locations.
Whenever a Lions Club gets together, problems get smaller, and communities get better. That is because Lions help where help is needed. True to its vision, MOU was signed with Lions Club district 317F & Annapoorna Trust to support with multi nutrient Saisure health mix distribution in 26 schools for 2477 children in Kodigehalli & Hosahalli grama panchayats, Doddaballapur Municipality in the first phase. This would expand to 5000 children for the next three years around Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur & Bengaluru north.
Launch took place in the presence of Lions District Governor 317F – C K Manohar Nambiar.
