Relaunch of Morning Nutrition Program for Govt. school children in districts of Telangana, 3rd August 2022

On 3rd August 2022, Morning Nutrition Program was relaunched in Yadadri Bhongir, Siddipet, Sircilla, Karimnagar, Jagatial, Jangaon, Adilabad, Mehaboob Nagar, Nizamabad, Medchal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts of Telangana. With the relevant permission letters from various district officials this program has been restarted for close to 37000 govt. school children in 344 schools.

The relaunch event took place in ZHPS Bibinagar, Yadadri Bhongir district in Telangana in the presence of Chief Guest – Smt. P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, Hon’ble Education Minister, Telangana; Sri Pailla Shekar Reddy – Hon’ble MLA, Bhongir Constituency, Telangana; Mr. Sandeep Reddy Alimineti – Zilla Parishad Chairperson for Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District; Mr. Alimineti Krishna Reddy – MLC, TRS, Bhongir, Yadadri – Bhuvanagiri, Telangana; Mr. Alugubelli Narsi Reddy – MLC, Nalgonda, Telangana, Independent; Smt. Pamela Satpathy, IAS – Yadadri Bhongir Collector, Collector and District Magistrate; Sri Deepak Tiwari IAS – Additional Collector Local Bodies; Mr. Yarkala Sudhakar Goud – MPP, Yadadri Bhongir; Mrs. Goli Pranitha Pingal Reddy – ZPTC, Bibinagar; Mr. K Narayan Reddy – DEO Yadadri, Bhuvanagiri; MEO Mr. Naga Vardhan Reddy; Mr Raja Reddy – Headmaster. Mr. Pradeep Kumar – Regional Head and Mr Dhananjay Rao Ejapu – Manager in Marketing and Digital communication and volunteers were present representing Annapoorna Trust.  

In the event, Smt. P. Sabitha Indra Reddy – Hon’ble Education Minister of Telangana began her speech by saying, “Firstly, I thank Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust for undertaking service activities in the state of Telangana.” She then went on to say that there had been a substantial progress in all the streams, especially in the education sector, since the last 8 years in the state, which she said had always been close to her heart since only children from weaker sections of society came to Government schools. “Our Honourable Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao did everything possible during the COVID pandemic for the benefit of children in spite of many challenges,” she said. Enabling the children to learn through Doordarshan – Prasar Bharati in the initial period, she mentioned that after COVID subsided, the state encouraged the children to attend school free of any fear of the pandemic. She also appreciated the teachers and said that they led from the front by setting themselves as examples and due to all these efforts, Telangana was placed first in Digital Enabled Teaching.
