Morning Nutrition Launch in Kagaznagar Mandal, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District, Telangana

Morning Nutrition was launched by Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust on 7th January 2023 at ZPHS Buruguda in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District, and at ZPSS Bhatpally in Kagaznagar Mandal. A total of 42,384 school-going children across 720 schools will receive Ragi Cereal Health Drink.


The launch event was held in the presence of various government officials and school staff, along with Annapoorna Trust volunteers. At the event in Buruguda, the Chief Guests were Sri Rahul Raj – IAS, Collector, and Sri Ashok – DEO along with the Head Master of the School, Sri Udaybabu. At the Bhatpally launch event, Sri Koneru Konappa – MLA, Sirpur Constituency, Telangana Legislative Assembly, Sri Ashok Gupta – DEO, and Sri Bikshapathi – MEO, were the Chief Guests. The Headmaster, Sri Tuduru Nageshwar was also present. From Annapoorna Trust, Sri Anand Kumar Kadali – Trustee and Executive Secretary, Sri Srikanth Vooturi – Regional Manager of Telangana, along with Sri Battu Mallesham, Sri Laxman, and Sri Murali were present.

At ZPHS Buruguda in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district, Sri Rahul Raj – Collector, in his address to the gathering, appreciated the Trust for the wonderful service rendered to the children. He said this service gives two benefits. Firstly, it helps in the eradication of malnutrition in poor children in these tribal areas, and secondly, the children usually travel long distances to school and while parents are unable to feed them in the morning, this service helps them attend classes with filled stomachs and no child will remain in school hungry! The collector announced Rs. 300 per month to the cooking agency of each school, much to the delight of all. On request by the collector to feed the Class 10 students in the evening as well, for additional classes, Sri Anand Kumar Kadali – Trustee and Executive Secretary of Annapoorna Trust announced that the Trust will provide additional provisions to them.
